On May 6th and May 13th, 2022, the in-office team at RYNO Strategic Solutions traveled to St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix as part of our monthly, company-wide Service Days. We chose St. Mary’s Food Bank because of the organization’s dedication to giving back to the community and providing for those in need. Our team helped fight hunger by packing 1,800 backpacks and 3,952 food boxes. Together, our RYNO’s made a difference in the lives of others. It was a great experience getting to know and bond with fellow coworkers as well as helping St. Mary’s Food Bank in giving back to the community and ending hunger.

When asked about our May service day, some of our RYNO’s shared their opinions:

“Service days highlight how important it is to give back to those in need. Our time at St. Mary’s was no exception. However, when RYNO shows up, volunteer time gets turned up! St. Mary’s had the music going so we danced and sang (loudly) in the assembly line, laughed a lot, and just had a blast working together to help others. In the end, we packed several hundred food boxes in two hours. I left St. Mary’s thinking about the people who will receive those boxes and reminding myself what is important in life and what is not. For me, it’s that our time isn’t just our own. It’s also meant to serve others.”

“I have had the pleasure of volunteering at St. Mary’s with my fellow RYNO’s a few different times throughout my time at RYNO. I absolutely love that we get to volunteer around our community each month. Each time I have been to St. Mary’s we have such a good time. We get to do something different each time and the music plays loud and the large number of volunteers usually get split up into groups so we made it a competition to see who could produce the most food boxes. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to give back with my RYNO family.”

Our remote team also volunteered in many different places near and far in their own communities! Some of the locations we volunteered at included: Arkansas Food Bank, Learning Ally, Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley, Sugar Creek Trail, Soroptomist House of Hope, Licherman Nature Center, and Mac Habitat for Humanity. Our remote RYNO’s did activities such as helping people with disabilities, sorting and organizing boxes and pantries, cleaning up litter, and so much more!

When asked about what they experienced, one of our RYNO’s, Traci Conkright, shared her experience at Sugar Creek Trail:

“I chose this location because it’s a beautiful trail my family likes to bike or walk. It’s an escape from the city through nature. The last time I was there, I noticed the abundance of litter people leave behind. The trail runs behind the animal shelter, and adopters walk the dogs through there, so it’s nice to keep it clean for them. It helps the dogs give an excellent first impression versus pulling off to poke around at loose trash. This time my mother joined in on the service for support (and so I wasn’t alone).”

Our core values at RYNO Strategic Solutions include giving back to our community. One of the great things about having a mix of in-office and remote employees is that we can serve a multitude of people in a wide mix of communities! We’re proud to donate our time to these worthy causes, and encourage others to join in making a difference in the lives of those we share our world with.
