LSA aren’t black magic, and don’t work for everyone. However, they can be a great addition to your marketing mix and a very profitable lead source. Best of all, there’s no downside – you don’t pay for anything if you don’t get any leads, and cost-per-lead is far less expensive than a non-branded PPC lead!
If you aren’t utilizing LSA, it’s like skipping houses while trick-or-treating – you’re missing out! For more reasons why LSA is a must for any contractor in the trades, visit our previous blog on Local Services Ads by Google!
Step 1: Creating Your Profile!
The first step is as easy as visiting Google’s Local Services Ads page to start setting up your account! Of course, Google doesn’t hand out candy to everyone that knocks on their door. There are eligibility requirements you’ll need to clear before having your account approved.
Step 2: Enter Your Business Details
Almost there! Now it’s time to convince Google you’re a trustworthy business. After all, Google doesn’t want to scare away their own users by presenting a shady business that’s just put on the costume of a reputable, established company. You may be asked to include details about your business like proof of insurance during this step, so have what you need handy!
Now, you’ll need to choose your bidding option and weekly budget. You can set up a manual “maximum bid”, or simply let Google handle this part. Google’s automated bidding will adjust your bids for you. You can also follow the recommended budget, if you wish.
Step 3: Get Approved!
Now all that’s left is to wait! The screening and verification process can take up to a few weeks depending on a range of factors, so don’t worry if you don’t hear back right away.
