Any business owner can relate to the constant juggle of business and family. Focus on one, sacrifice the other. Throw in fitness and faith, and it’s easy to understand why so, so many in our industry deal with issues like depression and substance abuse, just to name a few things. And this is all while being incredibly high-performing individuals with plenty of career success. If you’re off your game, everything suffers.

Host Chris Yano attended an event that made a huge impact on his life recently, and that’s why we had to bring on our guests today. We welcome from Rise Up Kings Skylar Lewis, CEO & Founder and Jeremy McWilliams, Head Coach.

While being vulnerable is uncomfortable, it’s necessary to tackle what we’re dealing with today. The good news? There is a SOLUTION. So set aside your pride, buckle up, and listen now!

Dealing with The Cave

Both Sklar and Jeremy are high-performing, highly successful men. Sklyar has grown successful million-dollar businesses in the construction and restoration industries. Jeremy, a successful businessman in his own right, was also a Green Beret for many years. Yet still, they recognize something. Your own motivation isn’t always enough. You need community to tackle the deepest, toughest challenges you face. And that’s what this is all about. Getting that hand to carry you towards being the ultimate version of yourself and keep you there.

So ask yourself: if something in your business was broken, would you want to know about it? If something in your personal life was broken but you couldn’t see it, would you want to learn what it was? Most people will say yes to those questions, but when it comes down to actually entering that “cave” and facing it head-on…they avoid it. They come up with excuses. When you can look at that pain – that gap between you and what you can be – and face it head on, that’s when the work can begin.

Rise Up Kings is about joining other like-minded men to head right into that cave, pulling out all that darkness into the light, and learning how to become the man you were meant to be for your business, your family, and for yourself.

In this episode, we talk to Skylar and Jeremy about:
  • Skylar’s amazing journey and why Rise Up Kings was started
  • Jeremy’s incredible story and why Rise Up Kings is so important to his life
  • The four pillars of faith, family, fitness, and finances
  • What “responsible vulnerability” means and how important community is
  • How your personal “cave” can be significantly impacting your entire life
  • Why dealing with your cave can help you achieve greatness in business and life
  • Avoiding shame and picking up curiosity to ask more questions, and get more answers
  • The idea of “drift” and how to combat it (hint: it’s not on your own!)
  • And so much more!

Becoming a Four-Pillar Man

Sometimes, the best thing to do to improve your business isn’t working on it, it’s working on yourself. Rise Up Kings has helped thousands of people including business owners and athletes who are struggling with business, family, faith, and so many other issues affecting their ability to be where they want to be. The four pillars they teach you how to simultaneously crush are faith, family, fitness, and finances. So if you’re feeling a little lost, stuck, or helpless – you are not alone. And finding that group of brothers to help is what it’s all about.

Rise Up Kings will be holding their next Refinery events in September and October. Want to join?
